This interactive, in-person workshop provides an opportunity for WISLI students to develop career planning skills to leverage language study and promote long-term target language development in professional settings. In this workshop, participants will learn to:
- leverage their social and professional networks to learn about and pursue career opportunities related to their language interests;
- identify and articulate transferable skills gained through language study, and how these skills relate to U.S. employers’ demands;
- communicate their language skills in descriptive, concrete language, developing content they can apply to their resumes, cover letters, and the job search process.
Workshop space is limited. The presentation segments of the workshop will be recorded and shared with all WISLI students.
