South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI)

SASLI, based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is an eight-week intensive summer language program, offering the Elementary and Intermediate level courses in the following languages: Bengali, Dari, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, Pashto, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sinhala, Tamil, Tibetan, and Urdu. The advanced level is also available in Hindi, Sanskrit, Tibetan, and Urdu.

This 8-week program offers the equivalent of two full semesters of academic study and 160 contact hours. Upon completion of the program, students will receive 8 credits and two letter grades. All SASLI courses are held remotely for the 2021 program. ​
