Brenda supports L&S Students in helping them transition from majors to jobs/careers/professional work. In addition to this she provides support for: resume writing/building, cover letter writing, mock interview practice, elevator pitches, job search, employment trends in majors, support in helping students understand hiring trends, and supervision of professional staff. The Dane County Board of Supervisors is the legislative and policy-making body of Dane County government, representing the needs of the county’s 37 districts. The board’s mission is to promote the general welfare, ensure domestic tranquility, and secure freedom for the people of Dane County. The board sets policy for county operations in areas such as human needs, infrastructure, criminal justice, the environment, and finance. Supervisors may also serve on committees, such as the Extension Committee, Land Conservation Committee, or standing committee chairs. She works with the City of Madison’s Dept. of Civil Rights as a consultant in language access and cultural competency of the Hmong language. She provides language access services to the Hmong Community through translation, video services, and other community driven initiatives.
