About

Peace Corps is a full-time, paid opportunity overseas that combines grassroots service work with cultural exchange. Peace Corps Volunteers spend 27 months in another country: three months of intensive language and cultural training, followed by two years of immersion in a host country community. All Peace Corps Volunteers use a language other than English in their daily life and work, and many achieve advanced proficiency over the course of their time abroad. With placements in more than 60 countries, on every inhabited continent, we teach our Volunteers more than 300 languages worldwide.
