The Wisconsin Court Interpreter Program is looking for candidates to attend the Orientation for Court Interpreters. This training is ideal for individuals who demonstrate native-like fluency in English and a foreign language.
Court interpreting is growing exponentially in the State of Wisconsin, and the opportunities for freelance-work are abundant in some languages.
ORIENTATION FOR COURT INTERPRETERS
The orientation provides a general review of the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to become a court interpreter. A sample agenda is attached.
Dates: September 9, 10, 16, & 17, 2023 (attendance is mandatory on all 4 dates)
Format: Zoom
We offer scholarships for candidates who speak the following languages: Arabic, Bari, Burmese, Chin, Dari, Dinka, French, Indonesian (Malay), Karen, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, Kirundi, Lingala, Nepali, Nuer, Pashto, Rohingya, Sango, Somali, Swahili, Tigrinya, Ukrainian, and Urdu.
