This lecture, led by Gabriela Zapata, University of Nottingham, addresses the need for classroom-based work in second language education that will offer information on the most effective methodologies and curricular content to answer the personal and academic needs of Black/African American students and counter the negative experiences that have been reported in the existing literature.
